NAA Associated Pulmonary Alveolar Proteinosis (PAP)

Creativebiolabs26 Dec, 2023Health

Introduction of Pulmonary Alveolar Proteinosis (PAP) PAP includes part of a spectrum of disorders of surfactant homeostasis (clearance and production). Surfactant is synthesized and secreted by alveolar type II epithelial cells, removed by uptake, recycling, and catabolism in these epithelial cells and by uptake and catabolism in alveolar macrophages. Pulmonary surfactant maintains lung function by creating an air-liquid interface on the alveolar surface, reducing surface tension and preventing alveolar collapse. Granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) is required for the catabolism of surfactant in alveolar macrophages.

NAA Associated Thalassemia

Creativebiolabs26 Dec, 2023Health

Thalassemia is a kind of inherited blood disorder characterized by abnormal hemoglobin production. Anemia symptoms include feeling tired and pale skin, bone problems, an enlarged spleen, yellowish skin, and dark urine. In children, slow growth may occur due to thalassemia. Thalassemia has two main types, alpha thalassemia and beta thalassemia. Four genes for alpha globin or two genes for beta-globin missing always result in various degree of alpha and beta thalassemia. Normally, the diagnosis is conducted by blood tests, including a complete blood count, special hemoglobin tests, and genetic tests. It is important to diagnose before birth through prenatal testing.

NAA Associated Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP)

Creativebiolabs26 Dec, 2023Health

ITP is a kind of thrombocytopenic purpura disease that is defined because of the isolated low platelet count (thrombocytopenia). The patients have normal bone marrow but lack the platelet count. It leads to a characteristic purpuric rash and an increased tendency to bleed. The clinical syndromes are distinct and manifest due to an acute or a chronic condition, respectively. The acute form often induces an infection and has a spontaneous resolution within two months. Chronic immune thrombocytopenia persists longer than six months and the specific cause is also unknown.

NAA Associated Primary Liver Cancer

Creativebiolabs26 Dec, 2023Health

PLC is one of the common malignant tumors. Due to its insidious onset, nonspecific presenting symptoms in its early stage, and quick progression, PLC usually has been in the advanced stage or develops distant metastasis when it is confirmed. The main clinical manifestations of PLC includes pain in the hepatic region, loss of appetite, emaciation, weakness, and fever. PLC comprises a heterogeneous group of malignant tumors with different histologic features and unfavorable prognosis that range from intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (iCCA) and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) to mixed iCCA and HCC, pediatric neoplasm hepatoblastoma and the fibrolamellar HCC. Among these, iCCA and HCC are the most common PLCs. Risk factors for iCCA development include primary sclerosing cholangitis, biliary duct cysts, hepatolithiasis and parasitic biliary infestation with flukes. The main risk factors associated with HCC include viral hepatitis (HBV, and/or HCV), alcohol abuse and non-alcoholic fatty liver d

NAA Associated Lung Cancer

Creativebiolabs26 Dec, 2023Health

Lung cancer (LC) is one of the most common malignant tumors and the leading cause of cancer death for both sexes worldwide. Few early detection tests or acceptable screening methods for this disease are available now. Therefore, it is necessary for us to develop more effective, non-invasive methods for the screening and early diagnosis of LC.

NAA Associated Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma

Creativebiolabs26 Dec, 2023Health

Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) is a unique cancer of head and neck, commonly arising from the epithelial lining of the lateral wall of the nasopharynx, especially at the fossa of Rosenm?ller and superior posterior wall. NPC is prevalent in Southern China and Southeast Asia, and natural autoantibodies (NAAs) signatures may improve early detection of NPC.

NAA Associated Gastric Cancer

Creativebiolabs26 Dec, 2023Health

Background of Gastric Cancer Although the incidence and mortality of the disease are declining globally when estimated in age-standardized figures, the absolute number of GC cases remains stable or may even increase due to the predicted growth of the world population and increasing longevity. GC continues to be an important healthcare problem from a global perspective.

NAA Associated Pancreatic Cancer

Creativebiolabs26 Dec, 2023Health

Pancreatic cancer (PC) remains to be one of the deadliest cancer types. Natural autoantibodies (NAAs) against tumor-associated antigens (TAAs) have been found in the serum of patients with several types of cancers and may serve as biomarkers for early detection of PC as well.

Reagents for mRNA Delivery

Creativebiolabs24 Oct, 2023Technology

Ionizable lipidic systems are developed to reduce the toxicity while retaining the advantageous transfection characteristics. The mRNA is incorporated into the hydrophilic interior of the ionizable lipid. Specifically, the effective ionizable lipid's positive charge facilitates its electrostatic interaction, which aids in mRNA complexation and subsequent fusion with the negatively charged endosomal membrane for reduced toxicity post-injection. Furthermore, an ability for nanoparticles to ionize seems to be crucial to the endosomal escape process. Ideally, these novel ionizable lipids will allow for the safe and effective use of mRNA-based therapies in acute and chronic diseases.

Surface Modifiers

Creativebiolabs24 Oct, 2023Technology

Over the decade, research was focused on the discovery of novel therapeutics, and improving the utility of therapeutics that are otherwise limited by suboptimal pharmacokinetic properties like poor absorption, stability, distribution, and elimination. Attempts like chemical modification of drugs or the use of novel drug delivery systems have been proposed to overcome these inconveniences. PEGylation involves modification of the therapeutics by linking one or more polyethylene glycol (PEG) molecules to it. Polyethylene glycol, a polymer of ethylene oxide monomers, being safe and non-toxic, has been approved by FDA for human use.
