Siddhanta Mahapatra was born at Brahmapur, Odisha to Shri Manmohan Mohapatra and Smt. Kanak Mohapatra.He completed his schooling from St. Vincent's Convent School, Berhampur, and did his under graduation (known as Plus-Two in Odisha) and graduation in commerce from D.D. College, Keonjhar. He completed his master's degree from the Institute of Marketing and Management, Delhi. Both his father, Dr. Manmohan Mohapatra, and his mother are doctors. He was married to Bengali and Odia actress Rachana Banerjee. They divorced in the year 2004 at a family court in Cuttack. He is now married to former actress Mama Mishra, and has a daughter Saisiddhi Mahapatra.
