Pradhyuman Murder case – Bail to conductor Ashok Kumar

Arrested by Gurgaon police as prime accused of the murder of a seven-year-old student of Ryan International school, bus conductor Ashok Kumar was granted bail on Tuesday by the special court for women and child on a personal bond of Rs 50,000. Gurgaon police had arrested Ashok Kumar on Sept 8 within hours of murder of class 2 student of Ryan International School, Bhondsi as a prime accused. CBI, which had taken over the investigation from police on Sept 22, submitted before the court had no proof against Ashok. After elaborate arguments on Nov 16 and 20 during which PradhyumnThakur�s father Barun Thakur opposed the bail application and CBI raised the problem associated with the jurisdiction of Gurgaon court in the matter investigated by the agency, the court granted bail to the 42-year-old bus conductor.

A series of warnings from such groups have come on the heels of an alleged attack on monks holding pre-Christmas celebrations in Madhya Pradesh. In Aligarh, a group known as the Hindu Jagran Manch has issued a warning to Christian schools not to celebrate Christmas, claiming this would be a step towards �forced conversions� of Hindu students. in a letter meant to be sent to the school authorities, the group has demanded that children should neither be asked to bring gifts nor asked to participate in Christmas programmes.
