Custom optical components can be used in many different applications. For example, filters can be used in photography to create dramatic and artistic effects. Reflective components are common for controlling the light flow with lasers, radar, and barcode scanning. Custom optics can also be used for water purification, medical equipment, fine arts and entertainment, and chemistry labs. Custom Optical Components are designed to direct, reflect or manipulate light. They fall into two categories: transmissive and reflective. Transmissive components are filters, lenses, prisms, beamsplitters, fiber optics, and other components that allow light (or wavelengths of light) to pass through them.

Custom optical and mechanical design is a sub-discipline of optical engineering that uses optics, such as lenses and prisms, to form an optical instrument within mechanical structures. Depending on the application, these structures may be mounted to a fixed, moveable platform or attached to a flexible element. Optical design is a specialized skill that uses optical components, such as lenses and prisms, to form an optical instrument within mechanical structures.

Apollo?s Polymer Molding is a manufacturing process for producing identical plastic parts using a metal mold. The polymer molding materials are liquefied, injected into the mold, cooled, and then released from the mold to form a solid part which is the same shape as the mold. Our products are made with high-tech polymers and superior manufacturing capabilities, delivering quality optical products that meet all industry standards. We?re proud to partner with our customers to help them develop the best polymeric products they need.
