Custom optical components can be used in many different applications. For example, filters can be used in photography to create dramatic and artistic effects. Reflective components are common for controlling the light flow with lasers, radar, and barcode scanning. Custom optics can also be used for water purification, medical equipment, fine arts and entertainment, and chemistry labs. Custom Optical Components are designed to direct, reflect or manipulate light. They fall into two categories: transmissive and reflective. Transmissive components are filters, lenses, prisms, beamsplitters, fiber optics, and other components that allow light (or wavelengths of light) to pass through them.
