Kartar Singh Sarabha (28 October 1887 - 27 March, 1919) was an Indian revolutionary who served as a major in the Ghadar Party and played a prominent role in the Ghadar Mutiny of World War I. Sarabha was born in Ludhiana, Punjab, to a Sikh family. His father was a government employee and his mother was a homemaker. He received his primary education at the Khalsa High School in Ludhiana and his secondary education at the DAV College in Lahore. He later studied at the Forman Christian College in Lahore and the University of California, Berkeley in the United States.
