SSPC and NACE certifications are the industry standards for protective coating inspection. The SSPC Protective Coatings Inspector certification program and the AMPP Certified Inspector program are equivalent. AMPP courses are geared toward specific coating inspection niches. These certifications are valid until the merger of the two organizations. While they differ in scope, the AMPP Certification Program includes the same core elements as both the NACE and SSPC courses.
