People have so far concentrated on the possibility of developing a robot that could be considered a human in the sense that it could actually think like a human instead of being solely a tool of humans operated with pre-programmed instructions when discussing whether robots might challenge humans in the future. According to this line of reasoning, it would appear that we do not need to be concerned about the threat of robots because no one has yet been able to offer any convincing proof that it is possible to create this kind of robot. This way of thinking, though, is philosophically incorrect because once robots reach a certain level of intelligence, their sociability will be what makes them capable of competing with humans.
