The Ooty-Coonoor-Mettupalayam Road is 9.86 kilometers long and is located in the Nilgiri district's subdistrict Udhagamandalam. It links the Bombay Kist, Stone House, Elk Hill, Nondimedu, and Thalayathimund neighborhoods. There is yet another route you can take. the route from Mettupalayam to Karmadai to Manjur to Ooty. Although the distance will be greater, you can still enjoy the drive because the road will be through a forest.

The Velliangiri Andavar (Lord Shiva) Cave Temple is located on the seventh hill of the Velliangiri Hills. The Velliangiri Mountains, a part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve, are situated in the Western Ghats of Coimbatore district, Tamil Nadu, India. Velliangiri hill has an altitude of 6000 ft. and one has to trek a distance of 6.5 km to reach the Summit. The best season to undertake the trek is between February and May. I got a chance for Lord Shiva's darshan on 30-05-2022. Om Namah Shivaya... God bless you all..
