A motorcycle tyre is the outer part of a motorcycle wheel that is attached to the rim and provides traction, resists wear, absorbs surface irregularities, and allows the motorcycle to turn by counter steering. Because the contact patches of the two tyres are the motorcycle's connection to the ground, they are critical to the motorcycle's suspension behaviour and have a significant impact on safety, braking, fuel economy, noise, and rider comfort.
