About Richard Freer

The last few years have been very busy. I was appointed Director of BIM 4 Housing and have been chairing meetings and authoring industry guidance for Fire Safety in the construction industry. I also established The IceFire Portfolio. We�re a marketing agency with a difference. We invest in new businesses. And pay fair rates to those from developing countries. We are paying tuition scholarships in Bangladesh and launching a youth football team on the Ivory Coast. And there�s more to come.

BIM4Housing's vision is for all stakeholders, in the provision of housing, to maximise the value added by Better Information Management. We want to focus on the Information element of BIM and how it can address the quality, cost, programme and safety challenges we are all wrestling with.

BIM 4 Housing is a UK BIM initiative chaired by BIM veteran, George Stevenson and with director, Richard Freer. We are a non-profit body targeting the ?Information? element of BIM. Our vision is for all stakeholders to use Better Information Management to deliver safer, greener residential accommodation that is easier to maintain. We have a lot going on in the UK, with substantial legislative changes being introduced to improve building safety and prevent another Grenfell Towers disaster.
