What is the Student Partners Program (SPP) in Canada?

The Student Partners Program (now known as Student Direct Stream), is an administrative framework between the Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and the Association of Canadian Community Colleges (ACCC). The Student Partner Program was initially opened for Indian nationals, but quantifying how successful it turned out to be, the SPP was extended to China as well.
