What is an App Clone?

An app clone is a copy of an existing app, with the intention of taking its functionality and features and add own ideas & updated features. This can be done for a variety of reasons, such as creating a similar app for a different platform, creating a new app with a similar feature set for a new market, or simply as a way to learn about app development by studying and building upon existing code. In some cases, app clones may be developed with the intention of capitalizing on the success of the original app, or of replicating its functionality without having to build it from scratch.
