The Union Public Service Commission administers the UPSC Civil Services Test, also referred to as the IAS exam, in every state. The three stages of the UPSC CSE exam are the preliminary exam, the main exam, and the personal interview. Candidates are hired for Central and All India Civil Service Positions in the Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Revenue Service (IRS), and the Indian Foreign Service by passing the Civil Services Test (IFS).
