To determine your waist-hip ratio, measure your waist circumference at its narrowest point in inches and measure your hip circumference at its widest point in inches. Then, divide your waist circumference by your hip circumference. A waist-hip ratio of 0.7 or lower for women and 0.9 or lower for men is considered healthy and indicates a lower risk of health issues such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and certain cancers.
