It was a magical Monday for Indians at the Tokyo Paralympics. India won a total of five medals on the day including two historic gold medals. The Indian contingent kept on winning medals one after another in respective events. The day started well and also ended on a high for the Indians as Avani Lekhara and Sumit Antil won the gold medals in 10m Air Rifle SH1 and Men's Javelin throw F64 final respectively. Devendra Jhajharia, India's best and most experienced campaigner in terms of achievements, continued his impressive run and clinched his third Paralympic medal. He won the Silver medal in Men's Javelin throw F46 event. Meanwhile, Sundar Singh Gurjar won the bronze in the same event. Discus thrower Yogesh Kathuniya won another Silver medal for India as he finished in the second position in the Discus throw F56 event.
