Swimming has been a part of the Commonwealth Games since the beginning i.e. since 1930. But India?s performance in the event has been utterly disappointing as the nation has bagged just one medal inthe event till now which was won by para-swimmer Prashant Karmakar who clinched a bronze medal in the 50m freestyle.
