Safer Etching for Nitinol and Titanium Alloys

ACE has developed a new, non-HF chemistry for Nitinol Etching and chemical etching of other titanium alloys, which is safer to use. The new TiME process offers several advantages, including achieving tight tolerances and producing stress-free and burr-free etched parts. The process does not alter Nitinol's mechanical and chemical properties, which are essential for its super-elasticity, shape memory and biocompatibility.
