Physical and Spiritual Significance of Hindu God Idols

Rishi Kumar Sharma24 Jul, 2025Art

Hindu deity idols are devotional representations used to represent gods and saints in Hindu culture. Worshiping representations or idols of gods and goddesses was a characteristic of ancient Vedic religion. However, it is important to clarify that Hindus do not worship the physical idol itself, but rather use it to summon the presence of God from the higher, invisible world. Marble God Idols are not used to challenge the worship of an omniscient, unseen God, but to remind one of an aspect of God.
