Muslim stoning field during Hajj

The stoning of Satan is an essential part of Hajj. The pilgrims toss stones to the three pillars known as jamrat. These three pillars represent Satan. Pilgrims assemble 70 stones when they spend a night in Muzdalifah. This act is performed in memory of the memory of Hazrat Ibrahim AS. When Hazrat Ibrahim AS was ordered to sacrifice his only son by Allah. On this occasion, Satan tried to abstain and distract Hazrat Ibrahim from this order. Hazrat Ibrahim tossed stones to Satan at three different places by the guidance of Hazrat Jibrael.
