The MBBS program in India is one of the most prestigious and preferred courses among students. About fifteen lakh aspirants, annually, compete with one another to obtain a seat for themselves in a reputed medical college approved by NMC as the number of seats is limited (about 80,000 seats). The MBBS courses offered by Indian Medical colleges are recognized by the MCI (Medical Council of India) and approved by the UGC (University Grants Commission).
