The IIT JAM Mathematics exam pattern is designed to evaluate a candidate's understanding of mathematical concepts and problem-solving skills. The exam consists of three sections: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), Multiple Select Questions (MSQ), and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions. The total duration is 3 hours, with a maximum of 100 marks. Section A includes 30 MCQs, Section B has 10 MSQs, and Section C features 20 NAT questions. Negative marking is applicable in Section A, but not in Sections B and C. Understanding the exam pattern is crucial for effective preparation and time management during the test.
