Human rights campaigners in Nigeria are outraged over the jailing of an atheist in the country. A court in Kano, Northern Nigeria, on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, sentenced Mubarak Bala to 24 years in jail. Bala is the President of Humanist Association of Nigeria, an organisation committed to promoting freedom of belief around the world.
