Grape seed oil, as its name implies, is a vegetable oil made from the pressed seeds of grapes as a by-product of wine production. When labelled as food-grade, this is an edible oil that, thanks to its high smoke point (roughly 216 ?C/421 ?F), is ideally suited to searing meats and vegetables, sauteing, stir-frying, and pan-frying. However, grape seed oil made for aromatherapy purposes should not be ingested.
