Glucomannan is a unique water-soluble dietary fibre extracted from the roots of the elephant yam, also known as the konjac plant (Amorphophallus konjac). Konjac is native to East and Southeast Asia and has been revered for centuries in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and used as a food source.
