Former BCCI President Anurag Thakur appointed as India�s new Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports

Anurag Thakur has served as the President of BCCI from May 2016 to February 2017. While he was the Secretary of the board before that, he has also been the Chairman of Selectors of HPCA Ranji Trophy cricket team. His younger brother, Arun Dhumal, currently holds the BCCI Treasurer?s post. After taking the oath on Wednesday, Anurag Thakur also expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister. In a tweet, he stated, ?I am honoured to serve the people of India as a Union Cabinet minister and take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to Prime Minister Sh @narendramodi ji for entrusting me with this responsibility.?
