Fig - the Leopard

Dr Somdutt Prasad18 May, 2018Travel

Fig is a leopard who is resident in the Olare Motorogi Conservancy, Kenya, where the Porini Lion Camp is situated, she is sighted quite often. Leopards can be difficult to sight, but this one goes out to hunt for her cub very often. We saw the cub on our first evening there, hidden away amongst foliage. In the fading light and the shadows of the foliage, I had to raise the ISO to 11000, still getting a nice shot @f4, 1/500 seconds on my Nikon D500 and 300mm f/4 PF ED VR lens handheld.
