Military Sexual Trauma (MST) refers to sexual assault or sexual harassment while an individual was on Active Duty, Active Duty for Training, or Inactive Duty Training. Veterans can apply for disability compensation for any current health conditions that were caused by or got worse because of their military service. If you believe you have been the victim of Military Sexual Trauma, you may be eligible for disability compensation from the VA. For your claim to be successful, you must have a current physical or mental condition that affects your body and mind, an event, injury, or illness that happened while you were serving and a link between your current disability and the event, injury or disease that happened during your military service.
