England put on a dominant display with both bat and ball in the third Test against India to win the match by an innings and 76 runs. The home side levelled the 5-match series 1-1 and have set up the tone for an exciting end to the series in the last two matches. Although the home side were brilliant with the bat, it was their bowling that made the difference, bowling out India on 78 and 278 in the first and second inning, respectively. Virat Kohli's side had no answers to the bowling of English pacers as they visibly struggled to tackle their swing. It was James Anderson's brilliant opening spell on Day 1 which started the destruction with early dismissals of KL Rahul, Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli putting India on the backfoot. The batsman did the mistake of trying to put their bat to Anderson's lethal deliveries outside the off-stump and eventually paid the price. The only person who played the English pacer without any issues at Headingley was a young kid.
