Casemiro tackles referee during Madrid vs Betis� game, video goes viral

Football is all about dribbling, tackling the ball. While forward strikers try to score the goal, defenders try to stop the opposing team from scoring. But apart from 22 players on the field, there is one more person who remains present on the field and that is the referee. A football referee covers the field and keeps monitoring the game throughout the 90 minutes. Although a referee doesn?t touch the ball or player during the game, sometimes accidents can cause the same. A similar incident happened during Saturday?s match between Real Madrid and Real Betis when a player accidentally tackled a referee. Real Madrid player Casemiro, while trying to tackle the Betis? player, accidentally tackled the referee and brought the latter down. However, Casemiro soon realised his mistake and apologised to the referee and the game continued.
