About Breland & Farmer Home Designs

Edsel Breland, FAIBD founded Breland & Farmer Designers, Inc. in 1972 in Jackson, Mississippi. The energy crisis that followed shortly afterward etched a permanent reminder into the company's design philosophy to design homes that are very energy efficient. Breland & Farmer, working with government agencies and private industry, designed the prototypes that have become the models for energy efficient home design.
