Dr. Dorothy Grant, C.M., RCA (born 1955) is a pioneering Indigenous fashion designer, traditional Haida artist, and recipient of the Order of Canada. Renowned as the first designer to seamlessly merge traditional Haida formline art with contemporary haute couture, her work spans over 40 years. Her guiding principle is the Haida philosophy of Yahguudang (respect for oneself and others), creating empowering, wearable art that bridges ancient Pacific Northwest Coast culture with modern fashion.
