Staff Selection Commission (SSC) holds an open competitive examination for recruitment of Junior Engineers (JEs) for various branches or streams of Engineering including Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and Quantity Surveying & Contracts for various Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations in the Government of India. The objective of this exam is to recruit candidates for multiple positions for Group "B"(Non-Gazetted), in Level- 6 (Rs 35400-112400/-) of the pay matrix of the 7th Central Pay Commission. The SSC JE 2022 Exam will be held in two stages. Paper 1 will be for 200 marks, and paper 2 will be for 300 marks. Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) are used in both paper 1 and paper 2. In both papers, 0.25 points will be deducted for each question attempted incorrectly. Candidates applying for the positions of JE (Civil), JE (Quantity Surveying & Contract) shall attempt Part A (Civil & Structural) of papers I & II, according to the most recent Exam Pattern.
