Wildlife in the City: Causes, Challenges, and Solutions for Detroit

Jamal Moore17 Dec, 2024Pest Control

With the growth of Detroit various animals are coming into contact with residents since their natural habitats, food sources and living spaces are being encroached upon by the expanding city. Wildlife such as coyotes, raccoons, deer, and bears come into cities, and they become dangerous to both parties involved. Measures include protection of food sources, erecting barriers and minimization of attractants. People should be enlightened on ways of living safely alongside these animals; consultation with wildlife control experts in certain circumstances should also be encouraged. Habitat modification strategies for instance reforestation, and sustainable urban layout can facilitate the coexistence between the two species.
