Why You Should Not Delay in Fixing Potholes?

Premier Paving03 May, 2022Business

Asphalt is a durable paving material, with the accumulation of water and moisture under the paving stones, holes can form. Potholes occur when a small section of asphalt is weakened and interrupted by traffic. When cars and trucks drive over the pavement, it weakens the roadway, causing pieces of the pavement or asphalt to crumble to form potholes. Pits form when winter rain and snow leave moisture that seeps into cracks and joints in the pavement and subsequently freezes through the pavement. Rapid repair of potholes or other damage to the pavement helps prevent further deterioration and costly repairs to the asphalt pavement. Short term repairs are carried out using cold mix asphalt with priority to fill the deepest holes. Repairing potholes is sometimes necessary in an emergency or during cold or inclement weather.
