Outdoor runner Moroccan rugs have long been handwoven by the women of Berber tribes who reside in the Atlas Mountains. Originally, the rugs were made for a multitude of reasons, such as floor coverings, bed covers, wall hangings or even saddle covers. They are made from the wool of sheep which are herd on the mountains and yield a thick and warm fiber, with natural tones ranging from stunning ivory, to rich creams and soft browns.
