As per the WHS (Work Health and Safety) Act 2011, every worker in Australia has the legal right to expect a safe and healthy work environment. In line with this, employers and stakeholders are responsible for protecting their workers and the general public?s well-being. Anyone who doesn?t comply with health and safety legislation is liable to prosecution and can face business closure, fines, and imprisonment.
