Plastering of walls using gypsum is much easier compared to cement. The material is quite smooth and not much skill is required to coat walls with it. So, civil projects need not invest much on skilled workers when it comes to plastering of walls. The semi-skilled workers assigned for low critical jobs in the civil project can be employed to provide finishing to the structures using gypsum plasters. It also provides solace to the engineers who can focus on other aspects of the construction, as chances of gypsum plastering going wrong is extremely low.
