Those who committed a felony while under the age of 25 and received a life sentence or an extremely long determinate sentence are eligible for a unique parole process known as a youthful offender parole hearing. If you committed a crime in California and were 25 or younger at the period, you are eligible for a California Youthful Offender Parole hearing. In plain English, this means you have an excellent likelihood of being granted parole. Most inmates will also be eligible for parole and released from jail sooner.
