Why is OIG Exclusion Important?

Venops29 Nov, 2023Health

OIG (Office of Inspector General) exclusion refers to the process by which individualities or realities can be barred from sharing in civil healthcare programs. The OIG is responsible for guarding the integrity of programs similar as Medicare and Medicaid, and one way it does this is by banning individualities and realities that have engaged in certain types of misconduct. The OIG exclusion may count individualities or realities for colorful reasons, including persuasions for healthcare fraud, case abuse or neglect, felony persuasions for other healthcare- related fraud, and other offenses.
