Legally, every employer has an obligation under Regulation 9 of the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 to confirm staff has satisfactory training before they operate work tools and machinery. Therefore, it is mandatory to undergo a forklift training course becoming one of the most well attended heavy machinery courses in the UK.
