If we take a look into our ancient times, we can see that our rishis and sages build and studied in the pathshalas or the Vedic schools. Hence It is proven that education has been an integral part of life for ages and will always be an important feature of one's life. Basic education is the right of every person from birth. One must gain an education at least for the benefit of self.
