Why Has The Use Of R-22 / HCFC-22 Banned?

A few years ago, it was found that a gas, named Chlorodifluoromethane and popularly known as R-22, is damaging the ozone layer of the Earth. Therefore, a step was taken to protect the Earth from this Hydrochlorofluorocarbon (HCFC-22) and decided to ban R-22 from January 2015 to prevent the environment.
