Why do IAS Aspirants Prefer Sociology?

In the UPSC exam Mains, all aspirants can choose one subject for the optional paper. On the other hand, the Indian Civil Service offers 48 subjects from which each aspirant can choose only one, depending on the subject that he is comfortable with.
