Why Are Wires Coated with FEP Tubing?

Yashsinha49931 Aug, 2020Business

FEP is the abbreviation for Fluorinated ethylene propylene. It is a kind of fluoroplastic that is used as a cable outer to protect and insulate thermal sensor wire. It has very alike properties to PTFE and PFA such as little friction and non-reactivity to chemical substances. FEP or fluorinated ethylene propylene is a rough, supple copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene and hexafluoropropylene.
