Why are donations important for non-profit organizations?

Alike any organization, non-profit organizations too want funds to run their operations. For several NPOs, the only real supply of their financial gain is donations that return from varied donors and company partners. An NPO receives subsidies from the Government; major portions of their funds are hooked in to the donations received from supporters.
