A study published by the American Heart Association suggested that drinking moderate amounts of red wine may reduce the risk of diabetes. Those who drink at least three glasses of red wine a week were at a 30 percent lower risk for developing the disease. The researchers also noted that resveratrol found in red wine can reduce the risk of pancreatic cancer and improve blood sugar.
