A stopcock is a type of ball valve used to regulate the flow of liquids or gases. It is coarse and is only used for on-off purposes. There are many types to choose from when it comes to the stopcock. The 3-Way StopCock includes intravenous sets as well as related items. The cock is completely sterile and can be used only once. It has 2 female Luer ports as well as a male Luer lock. All three ports are capped.The taps are usually blue or red to indicate venous use.
