What is the difference between Editing and Proofreading?

Usually, in proofreading, we don?t use any kind of predetermined conditions based on which errors have to be found. It?s the job of the proofreader to present all the possible errors the document has, from simple grammatical mistakes to more complex sentence formation and readability errors. This is the primary difference between editing and proofreading.
