Cybersecurity penetration testing is a proactive method of checking for security weaknesses in software and systems by simulating real-world cyber-attacks. ?Pen tests,' probe beyond the scope of automated vulnerability scans. Through manual expert techniques, Pen testers work to find gaps in protection that can arise when unique combinations of applications, systems, and security defenses work together in live environments. In other words, we act as would a criminal hacker attempting to steal an organization?s data for the nefarious purposes (i.e., demand ransom and/or blackmail).
